Three Eagles ‘Officially Opened’ by Town Mayor

Friday the 29th March saw the Three Eagles host its Official Opening Event.

A number of specially-invited guests were in in attendance for the grand opening in the sunshine which was capped off by a short speech and a ‘cutting of the ribbon’ by Llangollen Town Mayor, Cllr Jon Haddy.

Welsh Labour’s Minister for Economy and Transport, Ken Skates AM was also present and joined guests ranging from county councillors, local business owners and bloggers to help celebrate the occasion.

Cllr Jon Haddy declared the venue ‘officially open’.

Guests to the opening were given the opportunity to take a tour of the ancient building. Executive Chef, Adam Gaunt-Evans and his team were on hand to provide a fine selection of canapes whilst guests were also able to sample a range of cocktails in the top-floor Eyrie lounge.

‘Big News’ Unveiled

During the opening event, Three Eagles owners Matt and Vicky Jones took the opportunity to unveil big plans for their next project – the takeover of the Royal Hotel – also located on Bridge Street, Llangollen.

Following his speech on the early successes of the Three Eagles, Matt discussed how, following their purchase of the Royal Hotel, they intend to completely renovate and upgrade the current building to become a ’boutique, luxury destination hotel and spa’ for 2020.
