Our first-ever Christmas kicked off in true festive style last week with wreath-making classes and our Christmas Fayre.
The wonderful local florist, Ruth Jones directed the wreath-making classes which were extremely popular and gave guests the chance to enjoy some ‘crafty’ fun and a glass (or two) of fizz.
“It was such a wonderful way to start off the Christmas festivities…”
The Christmas Fayre hosted a number of stalls with local produce, arts and crafts, florists, jewellery and cosmetics. It was a wonderful way to see local businesses coming together to provide beautiful gifts for Christmas. The ‘Lleisiau’r Afron’ (the Dyfrdwyettes) Choir performed Christmas carols which could be heard echoing through the valley. With Christmas trees positioned around the courtyard, snowy scenes, mulled wine, mince pies and chestnuts it really made The Three Eagles into its very own winter wonderland.
Local, Carole Jones who attended the events said “It was such a wonderful way to start off the Christmas festivities. The Fayre really made you feel like you were in wonderland. The choir was such a lovely addition with Christmas carols and amazing voices. Ending the day on a high at the wreath making really made it all so special.”
