Boredom Busters

From cool camping to eating al fresco – summer activities for the kids…

We know, Covid has caused months of moaning (you, not the kids). Here are three ways to keep them occupied this week:

GET WALKING: Curling round the banks of the River Dee with the rising ruins of an ancient castle as a backdrop, Llangollen is a walker’s paradise. There are loads of terrific trails here in town (and around) to tire them out on.

EAT OUT: Fed up of eating leftover fish fingers while watching your kids go cross eyed in front of their tech? We hear you. It’s time to take them out to the family friendly Three Eagles. Here, you’ll find a neat courtyard for al fresco dining. Even better – little ones eat for free mid-week.

GARDEN GLAMPING: Have you heard? Camping is cool again, so why not let them sleep under a canopy of stars? Simply set up a tent in the safety of your own garden. Then, let them sing songs, toast marshmallows and tell spooky stories.
